Why do jamicans hate babylon?

According to the Bible, Babylon conquered and enslaved Israel. The Rastafarian religion (I believe that's what you're talking about) was formed by black people who'd just gotten out under the thumbs of colonial rule. "Babylon" is a code word for all things oppressive that need fighting.
